Hi,

It is linked to Firefox integration in KDE.

I tested updating kmozillahelper (Mozilla KDE Integration) from 0.6.3 (current version for Mageia3) to 0.6.4, the problem seems to go away.

I tested this by updating the rpm with the source:
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=mozilla-kde4-integration&project=mozilla%3AFactory

I don't see version 0.6.4 in SVN. Where did you do the updating?

Version: Cauldron => 3

Comment 9 Thomas Spuhler 2013-07-26 01:39:08 CEST
I upgraded the package to version 0.6.4 and it resolved the bug.

I have test it on a user's box with vanilla mga3 and it works. I haven't seen any other bugs created by this upgrade.
How to test:
before and after the upgrade, clock on a file like a source file and chose save.
After the download completed, right-click and chose open containing folder.

before the upgrade, a window opens and ask you what program to use, but the folder still opens when you ignore it.

after the upgrade the folder opens without opening the additional window.

Testing complete mga3 64

Works fine for me,

Right click on the completed download.
Then click on "open containing folder"
dolphin opens.

Comment 14 Thomas Spuhler 2013-07-26 17:12:11 CEST
This update fixes bug #9857. It prevents Firefox from wrongly opening an annoying window after downloading a file and clicking on the open the containing folder.
The affected rpm is kmozillahelper-0.6.4-1mga3
(Mozilla KDE Integration)

Advisory 9857.adv uploaded to svn.

Could someone from the sysadmin team push 9857.adv to updates.
