Description DariuszSki 2011-04-25 13:49:09 CEST
Description of problem:
In Firefox 3.x you could use the mouse scroll wheel when hovering over open browser tabs to move through the open tabs. This is no longer possible in Firefox4. Please restore the function.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Firefox 4.0-4.mga1

How reproducible:
Open Firefox4 with multiple tabs open, try going through the tabs using mouse scroll wheel.

FWIW, I tested with firefox 3.6.11, and scrolling the mouse wheel over the tabbar does nothing.

For firefox 4, there's nothing in our Package that removes/adds this functionality; you should file your bug report upstream at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org .

Okay, will do.

The firegesture extension brings this feature.
And I don't think that this is a bug, maybe a feature :D

This seems to have been fixed / resolved after an update to certain parts of KDE which was pushed out the other day. Scroll wheel now works as expected in the Firefox4 tabs.
Comment 5 Ahmad Samir 2011-04-30 18:18:12 CEST
I see now, scrolling the wheel over the tabs doesn't change the tab, just scrolls the tab bar right/left as if one clicked the small arrow on the right/left.That seems work.

(FWIW, I don't think it's related to KDE).

Closing as it works now.
