To be fair and to discuss this topic on transparent background, I have to mention, that I am biased, as some of my pictures are bundled in the mageia-theme-extra package (JIPPY!! :) ) However, here is my suggestion: Make the wallpapers from the mageia-theme-extra package show up in the KDE wallpapers GUI (and maybe in the Gnome one as well - didn't check if it works there) Here is the full story: Once Mageia got it's new design, I wondered what happend to the wallpaper images that were submitted in the flicker group. This was the first time I noticed, that there is an extra package, you have to install to get these images (and I use ML since Mandrake 9.0 :) ) However once I found and installed the package, I was sure, they pictures would just show up in the KDE wallpapers GUI, but they did not. So I checked the path in the rpm and finally was able to select an image of the package manually. Searching the package on google with: "mageia-theme-extra" -site:filewatcher.com -site:rpmfind.net -site:pkgs.org showed just 37 pages one being a forum thread with the exactly same topic as this bug report and almost all others automatically generated pages for the rpm file. There is a related bug report at https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1309
