This is also happening with locally build latest version.
for me it actually crashes even without any options. I just type mp3splt and i get crash
(In reply to MichaÅ Walenciak from comment #4) > for me it actually crashes even without any options. I just type mp3splt and > i get crash Seems like the Patch1 in libmp3splt is causing the problem. I've disabled it and asked a freeze push for libmp3splt. Hopefully the new release fixes the problems for you.
Is this still valid after latest release?

A bug has come up in the mp3splt mailing list. Not sure if it is this one. Will report further.

Not exactly the same bug, I'm reporting on the mailing list I'm on M3 32bit xfce mp2splt-gtk 0.7.3 the developer described the version in the Mageia repository as having a big bug It doesn't so much crash as not work, the files don't actually split as far as I can tell the current version is 2.5.2-12 http://packages.atrpms.net/dist/f19/mp3splt/

The /f19/ suggests that it is what Fedora 19 has. The versions I have installed are from the Mga3 repos: rpm -qa | grep mp3splt libmp3splt0-0.7.3-6.mga3 mp3splt-gtk-0.7.3-3.mga3 mp3splt-2.4.3-3.mga3 libmp3splt-i18n-0.7.3-6.mga3 The most recent versions according to the mailing list (Jul 21 2013) are: "New mp3splt-project releases are available: mp3splt 2.6, libmp3splt 0.9.0, mp3splt-gtk 0.9. This is the first release to support native FLAC split without decoding." From memory, Version 0.9.0 is in Cauldron.
This bug is about mp3splt crashing with silence detection. Please file a new bug about other issues. About the original bug report. Tested splitting with silence detection and it seems to be working. Thus I'm closing this as FIXED. Feel free to reopen if needed.
