Description of problem:
If any program uses modemmanager, then current Mageia policy for modemmanager don't allow to work with modemmanager for program.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
modemmanager-0.6.0.0-3

How reproducible:
To build modem-manager-gui from repo ftp://ftp.mageialinux.ru/mageia2/SRPMS/ and to run program modem-manager-gui. No problem in Fedora and in other distros. Problems is only in Mageia.

Fix: patch for modemmanager is in attachment (config and policy for modemmanager from Fedora).

We should just pass --with-polkit=no then, like Fedora.
No need for patches.

It seems Fedora silently changed this option in this commit:

Olivier, it's only half solution.
modem-manager-gui works fine only with patch.

Using this patch should have the same result as using the configure option, but the later is cleaner.

Option --with-polkit=no is enough.
modem-manager-gui works fine with option --with-polkit=no and without patch.

According to the comments the only change needed is passing --with-polkit=no as a configure option. 

I don't know if the bug is still valid with version 1.0.0, but the bug is valid in Mageia 3.

Hi, thanks for reporting this bug.
We are sorry, but we no longer maintains this version of Mageia. Please upgrade to the latest version and reopen this bug against that version if this bug exists there.
As a result we are setting this bug to CLOSED:WONTFIX
