Description of problem: I have installed the Beta1 version of Mageia on top of Mandriva 2010.1 to test that the installation routine etc.. When you log in to Mageia, the menu system of the Lancelot kicker menu system is not correct. Under the "Documents" section, for the "New" sub-section, the links are displayed for OpenOffice Writer/Impress/Calc despite OpenOffice not being on the system, LibreOffice is installed. Also, there are no icons for these options. However, clicking the links do open the correct LibreOffice applications Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): plasma-applet-lancelot version 4.6.2-0.mga1 How reproducible: Use Mageia system from update install of Mandriva. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use Lancelot as menu system on kicker.
Could check your ~/.kde4/share/apps/lancelot/newdocuments folder ?

i'll push a new kdeplasma-addons, would you please test it to see if it's able to found libre-office ?
#c1 Typing this before I install any updates. The folder ~/.kde4/share/apps/lancelot/newdocuments contained entries for; writer.desktop, impress.desktop, calc.desktop All have no icon for them, and have descriptive text from the Mandriva 2010.1 OpenOffice install.
there's nothing we can do about that (without intrusion in $HOME folder): lancelot is in fact copying the desktop file for /usr/share/applications & put it in ~/.kde4/share/apps/lancelot/newdocuments. With the last kdeplasma-addons release i patched lancelot so it's looking also for libreoffice desktop files & then copy them in the ~/.kde4/share/apps/lancelot/newdocuments. Would you test the last kdeplasma-addons ( kdeplasma-addons-4.6.2-2.mga1) to see if it's removing by default the openoffice.org entries, if not you'll need to remove them manually.
