Description of problem: Hello. I recently decided to test systemd on Mageia 2 again. This time my RAID1 arrays got assembled in degraded mode (with 1 out of 2 raid partitions). This could be related to Bug 7892, but I'm unsure. Unfortunately I installed a new kernel at the same time, and therefore I'm not 100% sure whether the root cause lies in systemd or the new kernel. According to the results of my last few tests, it's probably the systemd. I'll try to write more info if the issue occurs with the old init too. Unfortunately I foolishly forgot about the resync and called reboot. The array resyncing continued, but surprisingly this time the older data (from the previously missing drive) started being resynced to the more recent drive. The filesystem became inconsistent, but fortunately I lost only few files. I don't know if this is a RAID1/kernel problem or not. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): systemd-44-13.mga2 kernel-3.4.34-desktop-1.mga2 How reproducible: 50% (each time a different member of the RAID1 array is missing) Steps to Reproduce: 1. boot with systemd 2. cat /proc/mdstat ... md6 : active raid1 sda6[1] 1228802626 blocks super 1.2 [2/1] [_U] ... This message is a reminder that Mageia 2 is nearing its end of life. Approximately one month from now Mageia will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Mageia 2. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX (EOL) if it remains open with a Mageia 'version' of '2'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Mageia version prior to Mageia 2's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Mageia 2 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Mageia, you are encouraged to click on "Version" and change it against that version of Mageia. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Mageia release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. -- The Mageia Bugsquad
