"lost packages" and "loosing connection" is not the same
for the first part it could be a cauldron issue which you will never get in a stable release so > wontfix
for the second part more > cantfix

so ?

i think that in drak~something is
a) some part that is testing mirrors and can try the other mirror at user wish
b) if there's a timer tick on sleep-mode that gets in sleep the connection also - this can be changed
and really i was not loosing connection, but after installing i still have it even in running system i had few for today and this can be a critical, and there was something about loosing network - so this can be a little splitted

Was it responding that the packages were not found?

With cauldron, when a package gets updated, the old version is deleted.
If you run urpmi.update -a, and then a package gets updated, and then
you try to download the old package, the install will fail. Today,
there are a lot of updates, as kde is being rebuilt.

When using cauldron, if you see messages about packages not being
found, you have to rerun the urpmi-update -a.

Once the repositories are frozen for release, packages never get
deleted, with very rare exceptions.

Excuse me but relevance of this bug to current Mageia is lost on me: more than 1 3/4 years status NEEDINFO. Unclear to me what the report really entails for the (then) current installer.

Moreover pre-5 installers will not be fixed.

Please reopen when seen under current installer, kindly state the exact problem with requested info as far as needed and set whiteboard to '5beta1' (or higher) please. Thanks.
