Description of problem: When launching install of Mageia (with DVD of Beta2), the installation fail because the DVD is not detected It's related to the kernel module used for this specific model of DVD reader https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11659#c15 As described in this mandriva bug https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=49957 the fix exist in the module amd74xx and we use pata_amd by default. Is it possible to change the default module ?

Marianne, the fix for this introduced bug #1525 Can you confirm that after installing ldetect-lst-0.1.291-9.1.mga1 from core/updates_testing lspcidrake -v | grep STORAGE_IDE still lists amd74xx (and not pata_amd)
What's the status of ldetect-lst-0.1.291-9.1.mga1? It sits in Core Updates Testing for 4 months now.
Reopening, since ldetect-lst-0.1.291-9.1.mga1 is still in Core Updates Testing. Please either assign to QA or remove it. Thanks!
