Can you attach the .xsession-errors ? It's happening only with firefox ? or with any others apps ? Did you install a fresh mageia, or it's from an upgrade ? Does it happen with a fresh user? What's your graphic card & driver used ? Do you use desktops effects or no ? (i can't reproduce here but on a x86_64)

Try to reset the kwin effects to default, i'm not sure but i think that i had a similar behaviour in the past
