Description Alejandro Vargas 2013-03-01 13:13:18 CET
Description of problem:

Starting with the grub option "linux-nonfb" loads framebfufer anyway.

I am having problems with nvidia drivers. They are not loading at it seems to be due to conflict with an already loaded driver (nouveau). Trying to boot with linux-nonfb option loads the nouveau drivers anyway... and nouveau drivers has problems at least with my hardware.

For your nouveau issue take a look at https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=893
it may be related to nokmsboot.

Sorry, but this bug saw no action since over 2 yrs ago.
No cauldron package has stayed the same since then.

Closing as OLD

Please reopen if this report is still valid for _current_ cauldron and/or fully
updated Mageia 4
