Description mat ali 2013-02-19 09:12:34 CET
Description of problem:
in Gnome, hiting alt+enter on a directory doesn't work properly : properties are shown but the size calculation enter an infinite loop. Looks like it compute whole size and then start again from begining ever and ever again.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1.enter home
2.select one or many directories (not empty)
3.hit alt+enter, the size will change constantly with any end.

Comment 2 mat ali 2013-02-26 11:00:48 CET
Trying to identify the source of the problem, I selected different directories in home and tried alt+enter.

Conclusion : it is very random actually, I started with 1 directory and added the other one after the other, when it started to have that strange behavior, i deselected the latest, but the bug was still there (despite it was working fine just before).

My Home partition is ext4.
I had 3 core.xxxx (x is a number) files (between 1,7Gb and some Mb) in root of my home directory today. I have no Idea what they are. Could it have a link ?
Comment 3 mat ali 2013-03-11 09:37:48 CET
as reported in bug 9116, those core.xxxx are dump files from gnome-terminal. Bug is still there for me, looks like it is due to this g-conf error

Sorry, but this bug saw no action since over 2 yrs ago.
No cauldron package has stayed the same since then.

Closing as OLD

Please reopen if this report is still valid for _current_ cauldron and/or fully
updated Mageia 4
