Marking this as a release blocker, because it is within the installer and makes it impossible to install using logical volumes.

I wonder if anyone anyone has had a chance to start looking into this yet? The links to the bugs Manuel has posted seem to be fairly old. (2011)
possibly resolved in beta3. Testing. Waiting for full DVD installer to test completely.

Just did a test install using Mageia-3-beta3-x86_64-DVD, which is currently undergoing qa testing, with an ext2 /boot, and ext4 / and /home, both of which were created on a lvm physical volume. Note that due to bug 5661, encrypted partitions on lvm logical volumes are not working. Closing as fixed.
