I've noticed that urxvt is not tried by xvt but there may be some others. You could do a search at least for packages containing "term" or "vt". There are a few, at least there also seems to be mrxtv missing and probably a few others. This makes some functions in other packages fail to work when there is a terminal emulator installed but none that is supported by xvt. (Noticed while debugging #8963)
I don't understand how this package can affect that
$ rpm -qf /usr/bin/xvt desktop-common-data-2-10.mga2 When another package needs an X terminal emulator it can use xvt command to start one but if none of the tried ones are available then it fails. For example when I only have rxvt-unicode installed and not xterm, aterm, etc. Does it answer your question or was it something else you wanted to ask?

I'm on it. This is more a feature request (or extend existing functonality) then a bug, so I will add more entries in the xvt script just for the coming Mageia 3.
