Hi team Mageia,

I have installed Mageia2 with the DVD Installer, and i Selected KDE.

If I try to open an application, i have the message:

 Executable kwin PID: xxxx Signal: Segmentation fault (11) 

I have this error on each application i want open.

Idem at the computer shutdown. (before the pop-up to confirm shutdown)

What is a backtrace ?

If it is the action to crash kwin, lunch system-settings, and kwin crash.

Tomorrow, i try tu update Cauldron on my computer. Maybe the problem is with the lack of NVidia driver.

when kde crash, i think there is drkonqi that start, it should give you infos about the crash.


Please do not install nvidia drivers ( at least for now )

I just uninstall the NVidia driver.

It seems that the message no longer appears.

The driver does not work even when it was installed ....

I think that the bug is when NVidia drivers are installed and worked.

But for the moment, Nvidia drivers installation : impossible.

Solved for NVidia Drivers.

But, the message 'Segmentation Fault' doesn't appear now, except when the computer shutdown.
