Description of problem:

Hi,

i've noticed that also Mageia suffers (as the last versions of Mandriva) of this bug:

https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=30172

Can you apply this patch to the kernel in order to fix this issue?

http://hardware4linux.info/component/14454/

thanks

cheers,
Marcello

The patch referenced in that BR has been merged upstream a long time ago...

Can you check that sdhci-pci is loaded, and if not, load it manually...

also check dmesg for any errors or so...
Comment 4 Marcello Anni 2011-04-20 16:56:54 CEST
if i load sdhci-pci it works :-) should i do anything else or do you know already how to fix it?

cheers,
Marcello

Attach the output of dmidecode to this report, and we should be able to add autodetection of needed module

tell me if (and when) i have to do some test.
Comment 8 Thomas Backlund 2011-04-24 11:44:12 CEST
For now you can add sdhci-pci to /etc/modprobe.preload

I have added the module to the list of needed modules for card-readers so it should be picked up on a clean install (after we release updated boot & stage2 images (probably not for beta2)

Thomas, can we close that one?
