Trying to install from an http repo, using the 18874368 Jan 17 16:12 boot.iso If cancel is selected for the http proxy, stage 1 segfaults while loading stage 2. Works ok, if ok is selected for the proxy, with both fields empty, instead of selecting cancel. Error message in log is stage1[52]:segfault at 0 ip 04062cb sp 7fff8799c360 error 4 in stage1[400000+8b000]

Could you provide a detailed reproducible way?

I was able to reproduce it. As you go through stage 1, choose an HTTP installation, you'll have to go through various dialogs putting in info like http mirror and path, network information, and one of them will ask for the HTTP proxy (if any) to use. If you leave those fields blank and choose Cancel instead of OK, when you get to the end and it tries to load Stage 2 it segfaults.
I asked b/c this didn't work for me
Confirmed this morning in vbox boot.iso 19-Feb-2013 03:34 18M exited abnormally :-( -- received signal 11 kernel messages show stage1[42]:segfault at 0 ip 00000000004062c6 sp 00007fffc42145d0 error 4 in stage1[400000+8b000]
