If you try to start the LiveDVD live, plymouth will start but then you end up with nothing but a black screen. If you hit escape when plymouth starts, you see a flood of the same error message, but it scrolls so fast that it is impossible to read it. There was no difference between choosing "Other" or "CD-Rom" (or was it "DVD") in the boot screen.
