Patch proposal (not tested) for compssUsers.pl from the meta-task package

adding only razorqt in the CAT_GRAPHICAL_DESKTOP seems in fact enough for what you want
(was a bit wrong on irc)

That's totally wrong, what you're doing is forcing the install of that desktop everytime.

We could add more desktops to the custom choice list (see bug #7339), but it's already one item too big.
We could also alter the desktop choice, which only offers KDE, GNOME & custom to also include e17, ... (if present on the media).

Considering the popularity of that desktop, I think manually install task-foobar is ok...

changing nothing in the compssuser and only add razorqt in CAT_GRAPHICAL_DESKTOP should be enough for what matteo want no ? (ie make it possible to install razorqt from a netinstall in manual choice)

What do you mean?
- custom choice (ake the first screen after desktop selection
  if choosing custom instead of KDE/GNOME, where you select some
  categories)
- or really the individual package selection (when checking in
  "individual package selection), where you select some packages
  among 10000 ones?

If you what you want is the first case, no it won't.
If you what you want is the second case, it's already possible.

The first patch actually do nothing.
If you add razorqt to rpmsrate under graphical desktop, it would be always installed once selecting "other desktops".
We can't keep growing that list.
When people select that, they usually want a ligher desktop. Not tens.

Maybe should we just use some sort of popup dialog enabling to select several desktops instead of offering gnome/kde/other desktops in that step.

Or using expanders for main category that would reveal the check-boxes only when selected, allowing to put more options.

Summary:
========
1) we could add more desktops to the desktop step, allowing to select only only desktop. Currently the choice is GNOME, KDE or custom (aka go to selecting categories).
We could add a couple more, but not too much, I think 4 would be the max for usuability, so it would be only major (maybe gnome, kde, xfce, and one of lxde/e17 ?).

2) we enable to pick more individual desktops instead of just gnome, kde and several small ones at once (currently: 4 windowmaker, 5 xfce, 5 E17 thus WM having less priority).
This would be: gnome, kde, e17, xfce, wm, lxde, e17, ...
which could rapidly go too big.

3) we enable to individually pick the following in that step:
- gnome
- kde
- one of e17/xfce/wm/lxde/e17/... (pull down menu)
Thus solving bug #7399 along.

I clearly understood nothing of that tool, I'm sorry.
I was just trying to avoid asking for features without doing nothing. I tried to follow the instructions from the README provided by the meta-task sources.

That was not my intention, of course :) 
I think that for the time being it should be enough to give the chance to install task-razorqt somehow; even from the "individual package selection" step it's fine to me. 
I think moreover there's no currently need to have razorqt shown onto the main desktop choice step.

I like 3 Thierry. But it should only offer what can actually be installed from the dvd. It could maybe offer any others if other media has been configured.
