cdp was imported into Mageia 1 after the fact, but a subrel was erroneously added, making the package release newer than what was in Cauldron at the time and ultimately ended up in Mageia 2. The subrel has been added to the Mageia 2 package so that it will upgrade properly from the Mageia 1 package. Advisory -------- This corrects the package release of the cdp package so that it will upgrade properly from the version in Mageia 1. Source RPM: cdp-0.33-22.1.mga2.src.rpm
Mga1 version is cdp-0.33-22.1.mga1.src.rpm and cdp in Mga2 release is cdp-0.33-22.mga2.src.rpm, so confirm the problem. I get no audio played by either version but it does control the cd and show it playing.
You have to have one of those little audio cables that connects internally from the CD-ROM drive to the sound card to get audio. Most computers don't ship with those these days :o(
That explains it, thanks. Ok for me then as far as it goes.
