Description Juan Luis Baptiste 2012-12-26 05:41:20 CET
Description of problem:

When configuring a video card, on systems with hybrid video cards, the intel card name is not shown (attaching screen capture), it shows that card as a "nameless" card (see image).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch XFdrake
2. Go to Click on Video Card and switch from one of the two video cards your system has to the other and press next.
3. On next screen when it asks which video card should be configured, on the "Configure only card xxx", the name of the intel card appears empty, just the checkbox with a "" following.

My system:

Card:ATI Radeon HD 6400 and later (radeon/fglrx): ATI Technologies Inc|Whistler [AMD Radeon HD 6600M Series] [DISPLAY_VGA]
Card:Intel 810 and later: Intel Corporation|2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller [DISPLAY_VGA] (rev: 09)

Hmmm, this only happens when the Intel card is the one currently on use and you want to switch to the ATI card. But if you have the ATI card configured and switch back to the Intel card, the name of both cards will appear correctly (see attachment).

Sorry, but this bug saw no action since over 2 yrs ago - no cauldron package has stayed the same - and is still assigned to Bug Squad.

Closing as OLD

Please reopen if this report is still valid for _current_ cauldron and/or fully
updated Mageia 4
