Using lightdm with lightdm-gtk-greeter there is no option to shutdown or restart.

Apparently this is a bug present on systems without consolekit.

Fedora has a patch to support systemd-logind

This is a known issue. Also, Fedora's patch isn't fully working. I've tested it locally since a some time ago.
