Description of problem: The default config for rpmdrake has been one of my pet peeves. I can't select packages in quick succession. As soon as I select one, I have to go for a cup of coffee while it downloads the description, which I don't need anyway. Then I select another, and go for another cup of coffee... That used to be configurable, but the config option seems to have been removed. It is not on any menu in rpmdrake itself or in MCC's steup utility for configuring sources. Now I am returning to command-line downloads. It reduces the time spent by about half.
Created attachment 3277 [details] options this is not what you search ? (this windows can be opened indirectly from rpmdrake too)

Those options don't contain the one I was thinking of. It used to be possible to specify either that all Descriptions are downloaded during a normal refreshing of the database (the one that prevents me from perusing the database because it is being updated,) or that when I select a package to install, the description isn't downloaded unless I ask for it. With either one, I can select packages in quick succession, without rpmdrake "taking over" my computer while it looks for the description online. No doubt it is still there, but I can't find it. I may need to edit a config file manually, but there used to be a menu option somewhere.
This is exactly what my capture show you. I have tested on mga2 and it's works. So as the compression changed somewhere in urpmi in cauldron (or the stage2 installer, don't remember) maybe it doesn't work, but it's these options.
Sorry, I missed the screen capture. So it is one menu level removed, under "Global Options." I don't know if "XML meta-data" would have suggested text to me, but it was probably always like that. Anyway, you can mark this as "Never was a bug." Sorry for the inconvenience.

I am not seeing the tooltips that your capture showed.
>I am not seeing the tooltips that your capture showed. open rpmdrake, go to the menu Options, Media Manager, Option, Global Option.
