I'm using Anki and want to test the newest version (Anki 2). In the cauldron there is still the version 1.2.11 of Anki (anki-1.2.11-1.mga3.noarch.rpm in http://mageia.unige.ch/mirror/distrib/cauldron/i586/media/core/release). The newest available version of Anki is anki-2.0.3 (see http://ankisrs.net/anki2.html) Could you please update the Anki package in cauldron to the newest version.

Hi, I moved the severity to major and the change is needed in Version 2 as well now. Why? Anki is a flashcard software. I use it for learning foreign languages. On the computer I set up the flashcards and I use my Android phone for learning, mostly on the road. There's an app called AnkiDroid (available for Android and iOS) I use on my phone. Anki for the desktop has been updated to version 2 a few months ago. Unfortunately, Anki 1 and Anki 2 aren't compatible. Yesterday AnkiDroid for Anki 2 came out and was installed together with other updates on my Android phone. As version 2 is incompatible with Anki 1 I can't use Anki 1 (anki-1.2.11) anymore to set up my flashcards. I need to have Anki 2 (anki-2.0.3) for Mageia 2 already now. That's why I would appreciate it very much if a package of anki-2.0.3 could be made available as update for Mageia 2 as soon as possible. Thanks and best regard, Béat

Hi, I moved back release to cauldron and severity to normal : updates on Mga2 are only allowed for bugfixes, not for new version with incompatibility with the previous one. I can understand that you are blocked now that AnkiDroid updated, but it's not a reason to block other users that don't use AnkiDroid. Regards, Claire

Hi, I see you point. How long will it take until there's an rpm of anki-2.0.3 in cauldron? Regards, Béat
Hi, I see anki-2.0.3-2.mga3.noarch.rpm in the repository for Mageia 3. Thanks a lot. I close this bug report now. Regards, Béat
