Description Thierry Vignaud 2012-11-29 13:34:02 CET
unison should be updated b/c mga2's one cannot sync with cauldron's one
Trying to sync between a mga2 machine and a cauldron machine fails b/c something has changed in the archive format.
Manually upgrading mga2 fixes it.

Older versions of Unison are sensitive to the version of OCaml they are built with - see http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.network.unison.general/9746.

This bug is said to have been fixed in the latest stable version of Unison, so it may be that updating the Unison package in cauldron will fix the problem. If so, it would be a better fix than providing an update for Mageia-2, as it will give compatibility with other systems running older versions of Unison.

I uploaded unison 2.40.102 which contains the upstream fix. Can you test it works fine with mga2.

Looks like it's better

Comment 5 Martin Whitaker 2013-01-10 09:42:30 CET
Works for me too.

A minor cosmetic issue - when run from a terminal, I see a number of the following messages:

(unison:3634): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_widget_get_direction: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed

I've not seen any loss of functionality resulting from this.
Comment 6 Thierry Vignaud 2013-01-10 18:36:47 CET
Those are "classic" gtk+ warnings.
They'd better be fixed upstream but that happens with lot of apps.
