Description of problem:

localhost being added to access control list
xset:  bad font path element (#2), possible causes are:
    Directory does not exist or has wrong permissions
    Directory missing fonts.dir
    Incorrect font server address or syntax
startkde: Starting up...

Steps to Reproduce:

Clean install of Mageia-3-alpha3-x86_64-DVD.iso

WAG: thinking this caused the problem.
set xorg vesa as Graphical Server during insall

with and/or without updates followed with
urpme --auto-orphans and reboot. Default runlevel: 3
 
$ cat /etc/sysconfig/desktop
DISPLAYMANAGER=gdm
DESKTOP=KDE4

1. click up a terminal
2. head -6 xsession-errors_login

first two directories and their first two fonts permissions look good to me.
