For the few/many of us who would prefer to use alternative cursor themes, the Mageia repositories leave much to be desired. It's not much of an issue because these can easily be installed, but I think it would be convenient if some of the more popular ones (e.g. DMZ, which is used by Ubuntu & openSUSE) are available in the Mageia repositories. I've set the URL to the package entry in Fedora's package database, and I suspect it can be easily adapted to Mageia. Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with Mageia's packaging tools/guidelines so I prefer to leave this part to an experienced packager.
Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes. You might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager
