this is nothing for the qa. http://sophie.zarb.org/rpms/01d90b9eef8fc1936db3f9bcb7845384 http://sophie.zarb.org/rpms/307765df2dbab5848c2cb78152a494cf npm and nodejs seems to have not the same things according to a spec of the PLD distro. btw: you can take the maintain ship of nodejs if you want as it set on nobody.

I'm a novice packager, is a "risky" package for me :-)
(In reply to comment #7) > I'm a novice packager, is a "risky" package for me :-) Well, try packaging it and I'll review it. Regards, -- Shlomi Fish
(In reply to comment #5) > QA Team, Close this bug? Why ? isn't this bug to add a new package for npm and not for nodejs which as you say is already available on cauldron ?
It seems there's a confusion here. If you go to http://npmjs.org/ and click on the Download link you will redirected to http://nodejs.org/download/ where only nodejs and not npm is available for download. So or npm is obsolete now or has been merged with nodejs. Any comments on this from someone familiar with these two programs ?
npm it's part of nodejs
(In reply to comment #11) > npm it's part of nodejs Perhaps the nodejs package should have a versioned "Provides: npm"? Regards, -- Shlomi Fish
(In reply to comment #11) > npm it's part of nodejs So this report isn't needed any more ? we have the latest nodejs version available on cauldron.
