npm and nodejs seems to have not the same things according to a spec of the PLD distro.

btw: you can take the maintain ship of nodejs if you want as it set on nobody.

Why ? isn't this bug to add a new package for npm and not for nodejs which as you say is already available on cauldron ?

It seems there's a confusion here. If you go to http://npmjs.org/ and click on the Download link you will redirected to http://nodejs.org/download/ where only nodejs and not npm is available for download. So or npm is obsolete now or has been merged with nodejs.

Any comments on this from someone familiar with these two programs ?
