Description Alejandro Lopez 2012-11-15 12:12:34 CET
Description of problem:
I tried to install Mageia 2 from scratch and selected brtfs for one of the partitions. The installer told me it was going to install the package btrfs-progs but failed to do so and I couldn't use btrfs on that partition (I had to use another FS).

What I remark here is that the installer tried but failed. So either btrfs should not be present in the installer's list of available FS's, or the btrfs-progs package should be present in the DVD (I may be missing other possibilities).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
I used a DVD created from the ISO image. So the packages are those in the ISO image.

How reproducible:
Make an installation from scratch and select btrfs for one of the partitions.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch a Mageia 2 installation
2. Select btrfs for one of the partitions
3. btrfs-prog package installation will fail

Mageia 2 is frozen. At least its installer is. So please test with Mageia 3.

Indeed it's not included in Mageia-2-x86_64-DVD.idx
I just added it to rpmsrate so that it'll be included in next ISOs
