While testing the i586 dvd from Sat Nov 10 22:39:02 CET 2012, selecting custom, unchecking kde and checking lxde (leaving office workstation selected), libreoffice did not get installed. I'll attach the report.bug, but looking through it, I don't see any errors that would cause this.

this seems not a bug, in the rpmsrate http://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/pub/linux/Mageia/distrib/cauldron/x86_64/media/media_info/rpmsrate CAT_OFFICE 5 CAT_LXDE gnumeric abiword you can see that only these two are installed if you select lxde (we can't install xfce)
Well, I guess that's becuse lxde is considered "lightweight" wich libreoffice is not
