Description of problem: When downloading any of the 4 Network Installer ISO files, they all simply have the file names "boot.iso" and "boot-nonfree.iso" respectively. Not only does this make it impossible to tell the 32 from 64 bit, it makes it impossible to tell which version it is from the file name as is possible with all other ISO files (dual-arch, live, etc.). These files need to have a full file name when downloading like the other ISO files. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Mageia 3 Alpha 2 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Down load any of the four Mageia 3 Alpha 2 Network Installer iso files (without renaming them during download). 2. Look at the file name after download. 3.
this is an automatic upload from the build system

Thanks Manuel. You may have seen my long-winded comment on this issue on the dev IRC channel. As many of you know, actual iso location on mirrors is: mirror.site/mageia/distrib/cauldron/i586/install/images/ or mirror.site/mageia/distrib/cauldron/x86_64/install/images and the files names are boot.iso (free) and boot-nonfree.iso. I still maintain this is confusing for the user as the version is not part of the file name as ALL the other iso files. Worse yet is the distribution name is not even part of the file name. Code on the weblink should be altered to grab the correct file from the above locations (so build does not have to be altered), but land it on the client with same naming convention as all other iso files. Non-conformity is not good or professional. Thanks again Jeffrey Bruton
@Jeffrey: Thank you for your report and worthwhile suggestion. Assigning to our release manager / ISO-mistress for consideration as I don't know the impact of this requested change to the ISO build process.

Remco: You are most welcome and thank you. I believe as mentioned that the build process can stay as is, with only the weblink needing attention. We'll see what the ISO-mistress says. :-) Thanks again Jeffrey Bruton
