Description of problem:
It looks like a mounting problem. 
I don't have this problem with Mageia 2 or other OS.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
VMware Workstation 9.0.0

This is the errormessages:
1.
An error occurred while accessing 'Home', the system responded: Den begärda åtgärden har misslyckats.: Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 1: helper failed with:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sr0,

An error occurred while accessing 'VMware Tools', the system responded: 
Den begärda åtgärden har misslyckats.: Error mounting: 
mount exited with exit code 1: helper failed with:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sr0,
       missing codepage or helper program, or other error
       In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail or so

Use VMware to install VMware Tools

The problem still exist with Mageia 3 Alfa 3 and VMware Workstation 9.0.1

dmesg| tail said nothing ?

I did a new try.
Then wrote dmesg| tail:
Result:
dmesg| tail

[root@localhost jan]#

I renamed user-500 journal and touch a new one but that doesn' help

No action since over 2 yrs ago and still assigned to Bug Squad
