Description John Bowden 2012-10-11 01:57:04 CEST
Description of problem:
Usb memory stick does not auto mount so PCManFM can't see it, sticks light flashes after insertion.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
All the time, with two different memory sticks and a usb mp3 player

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Plug in usb stick
2.Wait for sticks light to stop flashing
3.Open the file manager, no sign of it in /mount or /media. Tried a reboot to see if the stick would be mounted but it was not.

This may be useful:-
Run:
tailf /var/log/syslog | tee ~/syslog.txt
Plug in device - wait a moment
Unplug device
CTRL/c

Attach ~/syslog.txt here

I can't get the syslog.txt off the qa box in question, can't copy it to a pen drive, or email it and Midori refuses to start ;(
So I typed it in here manually, there maybe typos!
Before memory stick inserted:

Tried again with the latest re-spin (91c7f79ce588fca37b1c965020473c2e).
now MCC is fixed I can manually mount a pen drive, but still does not seem to auto mount.

Sorry sometimes I use extreme shorthand. Is this report still valid? It works for me.

If it had not gotten fixed for all, someone would have answered in the two weeks since you asked :-)
