(In reply to comment #1) > And you desktop is ? Sorry I did not provide that. $ cat /etc/sysconfig/desktop DISPLAYMANAGER=gdm DESKTOP=KDE4 and it's a clean install of Mageia-2-x86_64-DVD.iso with all updates. desktop effects disabled. Runlevel 3 and startx if that matters.
Problem fixed in 3 alpha3
Probably a KDE upstream bug that was fixed in subsequent updates. It will be or has been fixed in KDE updates to Mageia 2. If not, it will probably not be fixed at all in Mageia 2 and users will have to use Mageia 3 to see it fixed. So I'm going to close this bug report. Adding KDE maintainer in CC just in case I'm doing the wrong choice.
