Description Jim Beard 2012-10-01 02:20:24 CEST
Description of problem:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Use MCC to go to share nfs
2.attempt to set up the server
3.get an error message that mandatory nfs-utils is missing, set-up fails.

Alternately, remove nfs-utils with urpme, then go through the procedure. This time, MCC will install nfs-utils, and then announce mandatory nfs-utils is missing. setup fails.

Work-around: Setting up the /etc/exports file manually and then running
systemctl restart nfs-server.service
resulted in a working nfs server. (setup of nfs-common on the machine had worked from the start)

I'll confirm seeing the bug on my clean install + updates of
Mageia-3-alpha1-x86_64-DVD.iso

This must be about "Share drives and directories using NFS", I confirm the bug http://docteam.mageia.nl/en/MCC/content/draknfs.html

Using draknfs from cli gives the same problem

Thierry,

The exact sequence is MCC --> Network Sharing --> Share drives and directories using NFS.

That yielded an immediate message: "The package nfs-utils needs to be installed. Do you want to install it?"

The package was already installed. If I removed nfs-utils with urpme and reran the procedure, and answered yes, nfs-utils was installed, and then the message appeared that mandatory package nfs-utils is missing.
