That's new behaviour from firefox, but only for extensions.
For lang pack, it can only happen if lang pack version doesn't match firefox one.
Did you switch between firefox & firefox-beta?

I didn't switch. It happens on a new installed system using alpha1/2 discs. You can try the alpha 2 livedvds, which also reproduce same behavior.

1.Boot Mageia 3 alpha 2 liveDVD.
2.Choose a language which is not english.
3.Run firefox.

Firefox and language packs are all 15.0.1 version in alpha 2 disc.

Yes exactly but we should have a patch for that (which was working before)

what, mga2 ?

(I changed the whiteboard because I reproduce it and was valid since alpha1)
Comment 12 You-Cheng Hsieh 2012-12-10 02:26:02 CET
I have installed Mga2 i586/x86-64 DVD/Live-CDs many times and didn't have this bug. It was only present since Mga3 alpha.

firefox-17.0.1-2.mga2 in mga2 core/updates_testing has the same issue.

This should be fixed with firefox-17.0.1-3.
Could you please test with this update.

regards,
Luc

Problem seemed to be fixed with creating a new profile using the wizard (firefox -P), but then Firefox closed & reappeared in English again. Here's the output that I saw in gnome-terminal:

ACR (Component): component init
ACR (Component): component init
0 migrated.
ACR (Component): component init

This is for the Mageia 2-version of Firefox 17.

firefox-17.0.1-3.mga2
Comment 17 You-Cheng Hsieh 2012-12-21 03:32:28 CET
Seems fixed in Mageia 3 beta 1, please confirm?
firefox-17.0.1-3.mga3
Comment 18 Marek Laane 2012-12-21 07:56:13 CET
As tested with LiveDVD, the bug is essentially fixed, though there is still one little glitch: Firefox opens with two tabs, one with welcome to Firefox new user, another with Mageia community page. First one is localized but Mageia's page is still in English, though localization exists, so one should manually switch language. It would be nice if Mageia community page will open in user language (if it exists, of course), too.
Comment 19 You-Cheng Hsieh 2012-12-21 10:27:16 CET
I'm going to mark this bug as fixed, but if any one found it happens again, please feel free to reopen it.

For other problems, please report bug independently so it can be assigned to correct dev/team.
