Description claire robinson 2012-09-04 13:52:45 CEST
Pre Mga3 alpha1 DVD i586 default install with LXDE and 'Other Desktops' selected.

Openbox menu lists many items which are not installed.

For example, it lists 5 editors, none of which are installed. There are many others too.

When they are clicked it gives an alert window..

Failed to execute child process "kate" (No such file or directory)

In this case when clicking on kate.

openbox-3.5.0-10.mga4 and desktop-common-data-3.4-1.mga4 are now in Cauldron and available for testing.

Dynamic xdg menus are built at user login.

If you already have a customised config at ~/.config/openbox/rc.xml then you should either delete it, or edit and include a line
<file>xdg-menu.xml</file> before the line <file>menu.xml</file>

And if you already have a customised menu at ~/.config/openbox/menu.xml, then either delete it or add the line
<menu id="Applications" /> somewhere inside the root-menu tags
