Description of problem: I am uncertain exactly what steps are required to reproduce this, but it happens near daily. Today I did the following, I started Mageia Control Center and started the "install/remove packages". After some time the sudo expired. After an additional ten minutes I closed it. I then continued my work and maybe ten minutes again I needed to open it again and try to start it and the sudo prompt comes up. I enter the password and it closes but Mageia Control Center never starts. I can now not start it until I log out and in again, Note I am running gnome 3 classic. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
What do you mean with sudo ? the popup that come asking for a password ? any errors if you start it from the console ? (maybe it's a bug of networkmanager changing the host)

Yes, exactly, I get the popup asking for password, I enter the correct root password, the box goes away but nothing more happens. > > any errors if you start it from the console ? How do I start it from console? I have tried to run "mcc" as root but it says it can not find any displays. > (maybe it's a bug of networkmanager changing the host) That could very well be it, happy to "try things" to narrow this down. It is really quite frustrating.
