So, according to the changelog it was meant to make uptimed ship proper systemd services. Unless it fixes a bug, I don't think that's worth an update to Mageia 2

Mageia 2 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on ''22 November''. Mageia 2 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates.
