Hi Mages,

Is possible provide the WebcamStudio package for Mageia? From the project website: "WebcamStudio For GNU/Linux creates a virtual webcam that can mix several video sources together and can be used for live broadcasting over Bambuser, UStream or Stickam."

The only way to obtain the source code is to do an svn checkout. The souirce tarball in mandrivauser.de's src.rpm package is a precompiled binary, so we can't use that.

I've tried to build the source code. It fails and I can't figure out why.
I have attached the build log, if anyone want to figure out why it fails.

By the way, the build command I've tried are «ant» and the suggested «ant clean jar» (as described in trunk/README.txt). Both commands fail the same way.

Well, I found the error in line:

 [javac] /home/filipe/webcamstudio-read-only/trunk/src/webcamstudio/components/StreamPanel.java:136: error: package org.netbeans.lib.awtextra does not exist
    [javac]         setLayout(new org.netbeans.lib.awtextra.AbsoluteLayout());

So, webcamstudio requires specific netbeans libs.

And now the development have taken a new turn. There is new upstream management, and they have releases source tarball that compiles just fine. :-)=

It's to late for Mageia 3, but after mga3 is released and Cauldron once again opens after release sometime in may/june, I'll upload it if I can make a working package.

I am closing this bug because in this time we have a lot of solutions to stream computer screen. If anyone wants this software, please reopen it.
