Description of problem: Firefox crashes when running any applet. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Icedtea Web 1.2.1-1 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Just go to any web page containing an applet, I tried this one: http://www.mojang.com/notch/ld12/breaking/ 2. Firefox crashes 3. This bug is already fixed in Icedtea web but the latest update does not contain this bug fix. The temporary workaround suggested in this report avoids the crash but the applets cannot be run: http://icedtea.classpath.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1106

Please can you do something? I can't use applets anymore, it is very annoying.
We can, now that icedtea-web 1.3 is out. I have built and uploaded it for Mageia 2. icedtea-web-1.3-1.mga2 icedtea-web-javadoc-1.3-1.mga2 from icedtea-web-1.3-1.mga2.src.rpm This provides icedtea-web 1.3, which contains a few new features and several bugfixes. Where are these packages? Mageia still suggests me to install icedtea-web-1.2-1.mga2.rpm.
In the updates_testing repository. The QA team will test them now (you can test it too), and once they approve the update, it will be pushed to updates. Mageia 2, i586. Applets that were working fine with Icedtea-web 1.1 work anew with this version but there are still problems with some kinds of applets, those using LWJGL and some applets using JNLP. I even have some problems with a very few applets using only the object tag and JogAmp, I will try to fix that in my side if the problem does not come from Icedtea.
I cannot reproduce the crash with the link from the description and various other java applets (e.g: http://www.dibol.de/indexen.php) in mga2 i586 and x64_86 with Icedtea-web 1.2.1-1. However the updated icedtea-web-1.3-1.mga2 works as well with the applets linked above and the link in inital description. Successfully tested for mga2 i586 and x64_86. I'm new to QA so I need some assistance how to proceed;) Thanks
