Hello, 
I think you should add other dependancies to the GCstar pakage (or at least porpose their installation). Indeed, some features are missing just after the installation due to the lak of this package. For example, you can import a DB from tellico directly; you have to install perl-Archive-Zip before.

You will find a list of the "missing" package in GCstar menu > Help > Dependancies

OK I will look this.
I think possible to Cauldron but on MGA2 it will miss packages PERL.

I do not know whether the PERL packages do exist now. However, I still have some missing packages in Mageia 4 (packages are not proposed during the installation of the GCstar package):
* DateTime::Format::Strptime
* GD::Graph::area
* GD:Graph::bars
* GD::Graph::pie
* GD::Text
* MP3::Info
* MP3::Tag
* Net::FreeDB
* Ogg::Vorbis::Header::PurePerl
