Description of problem: In the Software Origins tab you can configure the repositories used by Apper. However in Mageia presents a serious bug because it is empty and we couldn't configure the default repositories. The official site of KDE we can see how it should work. http://userbase.kde.org/Apper#Configuration_Options Below we can see the enlarged image Apper showing the repositories in another distro. http://userbase.kde.org/File:Apper-settings2.png Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): apper-0.7.1 How reproducible: Running apper, click settings, and then click Software Origins, it will be empty as shown in the image below: http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/554/apper.png Steps to Reproduce: 1. Running apper click settings, and then click Software Origins 2. 3.
How to Apper is just a GUI for PackageKit, I'm researching a solution in Packagekit documentation to suggest here.
I have noticed the same bug. It's mandatory to fix it.

I reported the bug in bugzilla for PackageKit too: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53189
So you can't configure repositories but you can install software from it ? (it seems more lack of integration between packagekit and urpmi which was never done)

Manuel Hiebel, I believe strongly that it is "lack of integration between packagekit and urpmi which was never done"
and for my question ?
As the source of this bug is PackageKit I reportei the bug against it: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7106 You can close this because of bug in PackageKit.

I this report was accidentally closed as wontfix instead of as duplicate. The fix for bug 7106 fixed this Apper issue too, didn't it? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 7106 ***
