For example we are not using exactly same buildsystem, repo layout, svn layout, and packaging rules as mdv. and just for reference, even neoclust who has been with mdv for _ages_ went through mentoring before gaining full maintainership status on mga....

Well, Alexander can get a commit bit now, as far as I'm concerned, so please give one to his account. BTW, Nicolas, I don't mind you contributing to mentoring Alexander as well. Must an apprentice only have one mentor? Don't know.
