Description of problem: When arranging the Icons on the Desktop, they behave crazy after some time. After two or three reboots they arrange to the left on the Desktop; but not alphabetically or something, really randomly. I arrange them manually, they flee and arrange themselves. Locking plasmoids and/or locking position does not fix this. I already wrote about this on the forum and they said it would be a bug in KDE. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Arrange your icons manually 2. do not lock their position and do not sort them 3. reboot ten times; are the icons still there where you placed them or do they arrange randomly on the left??
Have you proper right for your .kde4 ? what for panel do you use ? the mageia one ?
Source RPM: (none) => kde
The rights are (octal): 40700. I use the KDE panel. I think it is the default one, I just changed the Kicker-Symbol from Mageia to KDE.
can you try with kde 4.8.5 in testing ?
It seems this specific bug is gone even in 4.8.4. :-)
oh cool, closing then, thanks for the replay
