what have you choice for the transition stage1 > stage2 install

netinstall, iso, http, ftp etc, also

Could you provide the file /root/drakx/report.bug.gz as an attachment ?
If you don't have the file, you can switch to console 2 (by pressing 'Ctrl-Alt-F2') during installation, put a floppy in floppy drive or plug a USB key/stick and type: 'bug' then press Enter. It will put report.bug on the floppy/key.

Comment 2 Andrei Paygin 2012-07-22 16:44:38 CEST
I used Installation from the Internet (HTTP) and input mirror "mirror.datacenter.by", path to stage2 "/pub/mirrors/mageia.org/distrib/2/" (without architecture). Drak-installer tried to download media.cfg from http://mirror.datacenter.by/pub/mirrors/mageia.org/distrib/2/media/media_info.

if you add the architecture it should work,
thierry, was this supposed to be the case ?

Comment 4 Andrei Paygin 2012-07-26 16:16:43 CEST
Yes. In the previous message I tried to explain that no bug. Just had to add architecture.
P.S. If don`t specify the architecture, Drak-installer loads stage2 normally. And then Drak-installer displays message "media.cfg not found". I thought that Drak-installer by himself add architecture. In opensuse don`t need to add architecture: http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Remote_installation
