Description of problem: Update of libreoffice fails cause of a broken dependency in libreoffice-core to libreoffice-opensymbol-fonts. It seems only to be cause of a version mismatch. libreoffice-opensymbol-fonts is noarch, so it wouldn't harm. Snippet from libreoffice.spec: 205 %package core {â¦} 208 Requires: %{name}-%{fontname}-fonts = %{version}-%{release} Two questions: 1) Why is there a Requires and not just a Suggests? Maybe think about changing it to a Suggests. 2) Why is there an explicit dependency to the same version? I installed libreoffice with --allow-nodeps successfully. Afterwards, I installed libreoffice-opensymbol-fonts version 3.6.0. All works great! Maybe think about removing the version number in the Requires: line. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.5.5.1-1 How reproducible: yes Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

To answer question #2, b/c it's provided by LO itself (it's a subpackage) This works as of LO-4.0
