I know that you right-click on a file to introduce it as the wallpaper in LXDE, but I can't find anyway in beta 1 to change the wallpaper in KDE.  I just don't like the default wallpaper at all - sorry!

You can change the wallpaper in KDE, there is no bug I'm aware of. Just right-click on the desktop then choose "configure : desktop view" or something like that.

You can also use the shortcut ALT + D, S
