Upstream has a patch to make the weather plugin work again, using another forecast provider.

We already have the patch [1], patch was added about 7 months ago. For me, plugin is working OK.

Sorry, but I can't confirm. The upstream patch is a different one. Harald fixed the plugin with  getting data from another forecast provider. Please look into the upstream bug report.

Futher, using the old provider, there's a licencing issue.

I am using Cauldron (Mageia3 branch), maybe that information helps.

I'll test the new provider patch. IIRC I tested it before with no luck.

It should work with latest git. I used latest git clone to test.

Yes, just build it with latest git snapshot. I guess I'll switch to git snapshot + Harald's patch untill the new version (including Harald's work) is released.
