We already have the patch [1], patch was added about 7 months ago. For me, plugin is working OK. [1] http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/xfce4-weather-plugin/current/SOURCES/xfce4-weather-plugin-0.7.4-working-XOAP-license-key.patch?revision=169949&view=markup

The upstream patch is a different one. Harald fixed the plugin with getting data from another forecast provider. Please look into the upstream bug report. Futher, using the old provider, there's a licencing issue. I am using Cauldron (Mageia3 branch), maybe that information helps.
I'll test the new provider patch. IIRC I tested it before with no luck.

Yes, just build it with latest git snapshot. I guess I'll switch to git snapshot + Harald's patch untill the new version (including Harald's work) is released.
Pushed latest git snapshot with Harold's patch [1]. Please test. [1] xfce4-weather-plugin-0.7.4-6.git20120629.1
