Description of problem: When installing Mageia2 fron network (not tested from DVD) on Asus Motherboard with chipset AMD 760G (760L/SB710) or AMD970/SB950, the hard disk speed writing is 3Mo/s. Bbooting Live CD, writing speed is 30Mo/s. when i modify modprobe.conf to follow the configuration of the live CD, speed is normal. I try with Mageia1, same problem. modprobe.conf modigied : added : /sbin/modprobe mpt2sas; to : install scsi_hostadapter /sbin/modprobe ahci; /sbin/modprobe ata_piix; /sbin/modprobe pata_atiixp; /bin/true added line : install ide-controller /sbin/modprobe ide_generic; /bin/true How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install Mageia2 from network
Second reboot: same problem than before: writing speed 3Mo/s Problem not solved
With 16 Go of RAM problem is present With only 8 GO no problems !!
